Practitioner Biographies

Cynthia Abel, RScP

Moving around a lot when I was young taught me a lot about handling change. I became an observer, learned to see patterns of behavior and beliefs. I developed different perspectives, walking through a variety of life and career changes. I used my imagination to create alternative ways of doing things.  I have been an artist, woodworker and carpenter, trip guide, software manual writer, editor, and documentation converter.  I trained in Quantum Touch energy techniques, process art techniques and became certified in Soul-based Psychology and Integrative Breathwork. I have a life-long commitment to personal and spiritual growth and a desire to share it with others. Becoming a licensed Religious Science practitioner is part of that commitment.  As a practitioner, I look for ways to help others benefit from what I have learned about changing beliefs and creating a new life. To share what I have learned, my most recent projects are writing a book, creating a website http://www.workshopjunkie.com and teaching Create-a-Vision workshops. Through writing, teaching, and spiritual mind treatments, I offer support and hold the vision for anyone wanting to create changes in their life and let their authentic self shine.

This lifetime, I picked the same parents, the family unit: there remained some issues to learn..  My parents chose to find each other in The Bronx, New York, where I appeared this lifetime.   I had challenges and  grew up in Denver, where my health improved.    I went back to New York at 18, then married.   I knew nothing of spirituality, had very little instruction in religion. Years later, "THE VOICE" said, "Time to get ready to go," and I knew exactly what it meant.  Soon I was in Los Angeles where I blossomed and "accidentally" found books on reincarnation, had my astrological chart read, discovered numerology.  I was excited!   I discovered  Nichren Shoshu -- a religion with chanting.  I began manifesting things in my  life.  This was fascinating.  "THE VOICE" said, "Go to Church Sunday" and I found someone who went to church…I drove 22 miles to the Religious Science Church and found a home, was married there. "THE VOICE" said, "Today's the day for a job," and became employed the  Thursday before Thanksgiving (no one was hiring).    I became fascinated with Healing.  It sang through my heart.  I learned from my husband and  others, but found Healing was a natural flow.   People told me that I had "the magic touch".  I was intrigued by channeling, and took lessons. During the Harmonic Convergence, I was in Sedona and slept under a space ship. In 1992 I moved to that magical place, Mt. Shasta, CA., where there are many space ships coming and going.  What an experience live in high-frequency energy! While there, I helped to establish a new Religious Science church. I predicted the big L. A. earthquake, missing the date by 10 days in 1994.  Returning  to  L. A., I  found Agape International Spiritual Center, which gave me solace during the aftershocks and to the present.  I had found my true spiritual home.   God's plan for me became my idea when the push to finish classes came strong, and I entered class—just for the last year.  God decided that I should be a Religious Science Practitioner, setting up support along the way.  I AM THAT, I AM. I love to pray aloud with people; it nourishes your soul and my soul. It is free, but the feeling, priceless.  I love all things metaphysical and spiritual. I love to hug. I love "clever" things, ideas, solutions. I love to allow the Transformational Healing Energy to flow through me to you; to witness God's Love healing. I love lots of colors and creativity.  I like to think "beyond the box." I love to laugh. I love to say,  Thank you, God.  Because Thou Art, I AM THAT.    Amen.

I am a native of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. I graduated from Edinboro State University in Art Education and mastered in Professional Studies with a concentration in creative arts therapy work from Pratt Institute sites in Brooklyn, New York and Jefferson and Lincoln, New Hampshire.  Most recently, I earned my practitioners license from the United Church of Religious Science and studied at the Center for Creative Living in Asheville, North Carolina.  I have been able to see auras around living things since early childhood.  I gained greater psychic abilities during my teen years.  Some of the talents that I have developed during my more than 40 years in the field have been: clairvoyance, clairaudience, medium ship, divination, psychometry, cartomany, dream analysis and astrology.  While living in western New York, I worked with power animals and how they influence a person’s life.  After moving to Asheville in 1994, I have received two spirit guides” Justin, who had a funny outlook and Maria, who saw the spirit in each person.  I also gained two archangels, Michael and Uriel shortly after having a stroke in 1999.  As part of my recovery, I have completed a series of 50 meditative mandala plates, for those who aided in my recovery.  My partial series is on permanent display in the Neurological Unit at Mission Hospital.  I am currently painting spiritual aura mandalas with casein paint.  I continue to combine psychic gifts to tell people if their life continues in the same direction what lies ahead and visionary to aid people to see greater possibilities.  Most importantly, I know that spirit dwells within each one.

Carol Biro, RScP

Growing up on a dairy farm in Northwestern Minnesota, the woods and fields were my playground and sticks, stones, and trees were my toys. I developed an inner sense of wonder and adventure through the exploration of nature. This passion for exploration served me well.  After two years of college, I traveled to Colorado with three girlfriends.  I became an avid skier, hiker, and adventurer.  Throughout my twenties I moved all over the western states and Europe.  It was when I attended massage school that the world of metaphysics was introduced to me.  It was at this point that I began my exploration of the wonder of the mind and my inner being.  From that turning point in my life spiritual studies became my passion.  I attended Unity for many years, studied many forms of energy healing, meditation and yoga.  I received my B.A. in Psychology and Wellness Education from Antioch University in Seattle when I was 9 months pregnant with my first daughter Kelsey. She is now 18 and my daughter Jenna is 12. My husband Brian and I have been married for 19 years.  We have lived in Asheville for 7 years and we found The Center for Creative Living four years ago.  I believe that my studies here have taken all that I have learned and experienced in my life and encapsulated them into a complete package of wholeness.  My life has expanded and exploded with amazing abundance in so many ways!  I am now thrilled to share with others the wonder and richness of the gifts that I have received.  I appreciate the opportunity to support you with the magic of love, joy and gratitude!

Lynda Byrne, RScP

Even as a small child, it was important for me to connect with God.  In my quest to experience God, I explored several different Christian denominations.  In 1971, I chose to be born again and be baptized as Southern Baptist.  I fully participated for over 15 years and became very familiar with the Bible and the teachings of Jesus.  I started asking the hard questions to God when I kept seeing the pain and suffering in peoples lives increasing instead of finding the the peace and joy that is promised to us. Thru abrupt changes in my life, I was guided to Asheville in August 2001.  The first time I walked into the CFCL was for the Thanksgiving Gratitude Circle.  I knew I had found what I was searching for - the living, loving _expression of God! I immediately started classes because I wanted to change the patterns in my life so that I could live the life I have always dreamed of.  These were challenging years as old painful programing surfaced.  Slowly the joy, love, beauty and connection I so longed for began resonating within me.
I am so grateful and honored to be a practitioner.  It is my highest calling to know the Truth of who we are in the Glory of God expressed through each one of us.

Christy Corna, RScP

I moved to Hendersonville from Connecticut in 1995 and have been a member of the Center for Creative Living since 1997. At that time, I began taking Science of Mind classes and found myself profoundly exuberant by the positive effects of this practice in my life!  I began my Practitioner studies and was first licensed in May of 2000. Shortly thereafter, I was unavailable to be of service in the capacity I had desired, so I made the decision to relinquish my Practitioner’s License. I returned to the Center after a brief sabbatical, resuming further Practitioner studies. I was re-licensed through UCRS in August of 2003. I have been involved with metaphysics since the 1980’s, and currently have my own practice as a Licensed Practitioner and Holistic Healer.  Each aspect of my profession is separate yet interconnected, as there are many paths leading us to Truth.  I am also the Center's Administrator and am very involved with, and deeply committed to, this Spiritual Community.  As a Practitioner, I bring a diverse background of experience and education, which creates an atmosphere of compassion and understanding in all I do.  Being a Professional Practitioner is a sacred and inspirational calling, in which I consciously, consistently, and joyfully live in the Spiritual Truth of Perfection, providing the opportunity to encourage and empower others to know the Truth of their Being, and create for themselves a life abundant in Blessings. Ernest Holmes says ‘Healing is the revelation of God within’.  By remembering the Magnificence in which we are created true healing can occur! I offer this healing to you!

Bob Damiani, RScP

I grew up in New York, received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Long Island University, and was raised in the Catholic Religion.  I embraced Judaism for a short time, was active in a Lutheran Church and eventually became interested in various aspects of what I would call personal growth and New Thought – transcendental meditation, Satchidananda, psychotherapy, the Enneagram Louise Hay, Unity, various personal growth workshops and intensives, Deepak Chopra, etc.  In 2004, after retiring from my job of 28 years in Washington, DC, I moved to Asheville and found my way to the Center for Creative Living. My life has not been the same since.  From the moment I walked in the door I felt totally loved.  The understanding that I create my life through my thoughts/feelings/beliefs took hold in a way it never had before.  Through the classes I took and the Sunday Celebrations it became crystal clear that I don’t just create some aspects of my life.  I create everything in my life.  I love applying the principles of the Science of Mind and I love sharing them with others.  Becoming a Licensed Science of Mind Practitioner is one of the proudest and most significant achievements of my life.  I love knowing that everything is Spirit and that I am Spirit.  And I love sharing this Truth with others. I especially love helping others create their heart’s desires through Spiritual Mind Treatment   I am blessed that I retired at 55 and have a loving, supportive wife, a wonderful family of friends, and a beautiful home here in Asheville.

Denise Eden, RScP

I am Denise Eden.  I chose my name, Eden.  It means, the beautiful, blissful awareness of being cared for by God, reminding me always of the presence of Spirit.  It was through a series of meaningful coincidences that I found my way to the Center for Creative Living.  I was sick one day when my powerful, bold daughter saw Barbara on television.  After this she talked about Barbara and her desire to find her, and often said things to me like, "Mom you can make up your life however you want it to be, the woman on television said so."  And, then through the magical synchronicity of a dream, I inquired of a friend where she went on Sunday, and she was delighted to tell me where.  We walked in and sat down and when Barbara stood up and said, "I know that God is in this place." my daughter leaned over and whispered to me as if she were introducing us, "Oh, Mom, this is Barbara, the woman from television, I knew we would find her."  During one of John's messages, he said a most beautiful quote.  "You can choose to live your live from your unhealed past or from your spiritual magnificence."  When I heard these words I had the feeling of someone turning on a light, and in that light I saw that I wanted to be a Practitioner.  A Practitioner is one who knows the truth no matter the appearance.  One who is able to weave together words to create a powerful energy that transforms intention into desire.  One who practices the presence of Spirit, and enables others to choose to live their lives from their Spiritual Magnificence.  I am delighted to be a Practitioner, and I am available on Sunday after the Celebration for Spiritual Mind Treatment.

Davon Embler, RScP

I grew up in a small farming community in central Michigan.  Growing up I always had a sense that there was something out there and it was just waiting for me to discover it.  In my early 20’s I left Michigan for the much warmer climate of Florida.  Though my stay in Florida was short lived, I began the journey of discovering who I am.  I was introduced to Unity and eventually to the idea that I am in charge of my life.  I left Florida in search of something I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Once I landed in the mountains of western North Carolina I began to see there was something magical about this place.  I’ve lived in Asheville since 1993 and truly call this home.  I met Barbara and John Waterhouse within a few months.  In January 1995 they decided to start the Center for Creative Living.  I showed up to that very first service, which took place in their living room and from that point forward my life has changed immensely.  This teaching immediately resonated in me.  Again, I was being told that I am in charge of my life and that my life is what I make it. This spiritual journey has not been easy.  Through the ups and downs of spiritual growth, being grateful for whatever Spirit leads me to, I’ve discovered my greatest treasure, my oneness with all there is.  In 1998 I became a Licensed Practitioner with the Center.  I receive great joy in knowing the truth for others, for holding them up in the loving light of Spirit. Being a part of someone else’s healing is such a wonderful gift.  With much gratitude Spirit has blessed me with my life partner and husband, Rodney, a beautiful home, loving friends and a creative career as a videographer, editor and graphic designer. I love the truth that I am Spirit and as such I can have, be and do it all.  And so it is!

Tony Fogelman, RScP

My spiritual quest began when I read the book "Be Here Now" by Ram Dass, back in the late seventies.  At eighteen years of age, I moved to Kripalu Center in Sumneytown, PA, to escape peer pressure, eat well and practice Yoga under the guidance of a bona-fide master from India, Yogi Amrit Desai.  I spent almost five years in workshops, stretching, chanting, breat
hing and raising my kundalini. In 1986 I moved to the Asheville area where I enjoyed the mountains while earning a degree in business from Blue Ridge Comm. College.  I ran several successful businesses, and in 1999 I became a founder of International Titanium Corporation where I applied my resources to bring forward a project based on a unique Peruvian mineral.  The complications in my marriage and the mineral project led to crises and personal transformation.  My well-constructed world crumbled around me, and I let it go. In late 2000 I discovered the Center for Creative Living, where I immediately identified unconditional love.  I quickly integrated the healing effect of Sunday celebrations and the classes in Science of Mind. Being a practitioner is a great joy and a "step up" to play at a higher level.  Service in Truth, my highest purpose, is expressed in this wonderful discipline.  There is a world of spirit that need not suffer nor go without, and I cause healing by knowing radiant health, abundant prosperity, ardent love and glorious _expression for myself and others.  I lead a life that is passionate and fun.  Happiness and wholeness is what I choose, and I welcome opportunities to serve as a Practitioner.  I welcome your treatment requests.

Janice Haynes, RScP

I am most truly a person of the outdoors, made for woods and rivers and campfires and long conversations unmeasured by time.  It is natural for me to delight in Science of Mind, to me a timeless journey.  The teachings are as refreshing as a walk in the woods. I grew up in New Hampshire on Lake Winnepesaukee. Florida became my second home as a teenager.   I graduated in 1969 from Wheaton College with a B.A. in English Literature.   I have lived in Tennessee since 1982 and am a licensed real estate broker and own and run a bed and breakfast.  My husband and I have been married 25 years and our two children, Kendra (16) and Kelsey (12), are the delight of our lives.  We have 4 horses and I am learning dressage and equine therapy.  I home school my children. I was attracted to Science of Mind over fifteen years ago.  I had read Ernest Holmes' book Science of Mind, and my sister had discovered a Religious Science church in Hawaii.  I attended a class and found words that my intellectual and mystical self could understand. This was a group of people who put faith to the test daily to heal any imbalance in their lives, whether mental, emotional, physical, or spiritual. It was a church full of people who could make no compromise with Spirit.  It was a place to be challenged to the core and revisit old belief systems, change things that didn't work, and keep coming out the other side excited and new.  My generation questioned everything, and certainly a religion that encouraged questioning suited me. In the summer of 2003, I completed the course of study to become a licensed Religious Science Practitioner.  I am honored to share the lives of those who ask me to stand with them in the truth of their being.  The Native American image of standing in the rainbow is my favorite picture of my work as a practitioner.  I visit Source, outside of time and space, and stand in the rainbow that represents manifestation of thought into physical form. I am witness to the perfection of Being in each person I meet.  Just as nature is timeless and breathtakingly new, so is the dance of spirit in another's soul.

Maggie Hill, RScP

I came to the Center for Creative Living in the fall of 2001 and the first time I heard a Spiritual Mind Treatment I knew that I wanted to be a Licensed Practitioner. I had just returned from CO loosing all I had worked for and as I say “ I did not have 2 nickels to rub together.” When I came into the Center I felt the unconditional love and acceptance for who I am inside, not my past, not my future, but what is within me.  I attended classes, did my homework, my inner work and kept on attending classes. I began to learn what really exists inside of me and to quote our founder Ernest Holmes, “It matters little what lies behind us or what lies ahead of us, and it matters only what lies within us…” I know what lies within me. The Presence of Spirit lies within and through me. Always present. I am living the life I have always dreamed about; I have gone from thin-air to multi-millionaire using the teachings of Science of Mind.  I have purchased a large organic mango farm in Cobano Costa Rica and moved there to start the Center for the Celebration of Life, a teaching and learning center celebrating life every Sunday and teaching Science of Mind on Monday nights as well as holding Prayer Circles each Thursday night where prayers are answered. I am blessed by this teaching and by knowing Spirit within me. I will be returning to the center from time to time and will always know where I learned to practice Spiritual Mind Treatment and to recognize Spirit within.   I invite you to sit with me when I am at the center or to visit pristine Costa Rica where there is a beacon of light and a tower of strength on the Nicoya Peninsula. The name of the mango plantation is Todo es Dios…All is God. AND SO IT IS !!!

Carol Lani Johnson, RScP

I grew up in Dallas, Texas, attended the Methodist church and my mother subscribed to Norman Vincent Peale’s “Guideposts” magazine.  I also remember my best friend’s grandmother taking me to a Religious Science center, which I loved.  After I graduated from Southern Methodist University, my mother died in 1976 and I began reading Kubler-Ross, and Dr. Moody’s Life After Life.  Later, the father of my children introduced me to Ram Dass and the 12 Step program. The 80s began a new decade of eating organically, home-births,moving to Asheville, NC area, home-schooling, attending Quaker meetings and Unity, as well as a church based on Matthew Fox’s Creation Spirituality.  Over the years, my reading was constant, and, like many of us, I devoured Dyer, Cayce, Zukav, Chopra, Houston, Williamson, Walsch, Braden, Tolle and Esther & Jerry Hicks / Abraham.  I understood basic metaphysics and, after a divorce, my best use of that knowledge was to be clear about the partner I wanted in life.…even to the point of specifying a “midwestern fisherman”*! I am happily married to my biggest supporter (*he’s from Iowa& has a fishing boat!) and co-lover of life – truly my soul mate. I love being with my family and nature.  Swimming in the beautiful rivers of western NC  and savoring  pure simple “slow “ food are also delights. Even after all I had learned, my support and studies at CfCL have given me role models and tools that have completely and permanently changed my life.  I am so grateful. What I know for sure is God is all there is…everything, everyone, including me, and every area of my life has deepened, expanded, blossomed.  Every day I take time in what Ernest Holmes calls “the silence of (my) own thoughts, gathering into (my)self the spiritual energies of the universe”, and Spiritual Mind Treatments are an integral part of my day. I know where miracles come from, and love being there.  I am available to use the tools given me, and set the Law in motion, by treating & knowing, with gratitude, that we are all God expressing, & have all we need to express our Beauty, Joy, Life, Light, Love, Peace, Power & Wisdom.

Dorothy Leahy, RScP

I grew up in a Southern Baptist home.  When Sunday came I wanted to be in Sunday school.  My first trip away from home, in Florence, MS was to Ridgecrest Assembly where we campers met Ruth and Billy Graham.  When I returned home it was Wednesday evening.  I took a cab twenty miles to be sure I was on time for Prayer Service.  As soon as the sermon was finished I ran down front and said I wanted to re-dedicate my life to Christ.  Although becoming a Practitioner was years away (and unheard of for me), this was, no doubt my first step in that direction.  It was never a goal, rather it was a journey with which I have been abundantly blessed.  In 1959 while working at the Baptist Hospital in Memphis, I met a sailor named Francis Leahy.  We were married in 1962.  Navy orders always placed us where we needed to be.  In 1972 I was introduced to metaphysics through a book on Edgar Cayce.  We immediately received orders to Norfolk, VA., where we worked in a group with the Search for God material for five years, one of which I served as study group council chairman.  With the largest metaphysics library in the east,  I read to my hearts content and attended the conferences with giants in the field.  In1980 I joined Dr. and Mrs. Norman Vincent Peal and their congregation, traveling through Greece and then to Oberammergau for the Passion Play.  Dr. Peal alone, is a spiritual experience to be savored.  Among these studies there was medical assistant school and massage therapy training. While working in Florida I blessed to attend a conference with Elizabeth Kubler-Ross.  Who not only taught us the art of the last stage of life, but about life itself.   I also had the privilege of traveling to Israel.  In my life's "walk about" we had 5 children and 10 grandchildren.  In 1995, Francis and I move to North Carolina where it seems we were ready for Science of Mind.  I began with the summer Prosperity class and carried my studies through to the Ministerial class. being licensed as a Practitioner in 1998 and Ordained in 1999.  In the Baptist Church I learned reverence for all things sacred.  In the Catholic, dignity and holiness for ritual and worship.  In Unity I learned ALL things are sacred.  Through Science of Mind I know the oneness of creator and creation.  I truly know that whatever form religion takes, we are all seeking that place where Spirit dwells.

Francis Leahy, RScP

From 1952 to 1972 I read the Bibles (Christian) and hundreds of books about the Bible and Bible history to know who God is and who I Am. From 1972 to 1996 I read hundreds of metaphysical books to find out who God is, who I Am, who wrote the Bibles and metaphysical interpretations of the Bibles. In 1986 I was given the 1938 Science of Mind book, it was the first time I read it.  1991 was the first time I went to a Church of Religious Science.  Late 1995 was the second time I attended a Church of Religious Science.  It was The Center For Creative Living, I found a spiritual home.  In 1996 I became a member and from February 1996 to July 1999 I was in classes.  I have been and continue to be a very active member of CFCL.  In 1997 I had a dream in which I was shown how to correctly read the 1938 Science of Mind book,  and how to read all written treatments correctly.   In 1998 I was licensed as a Science of Mind Practitioner and in 1999 I was licensed as a Science of Mind Minister.  In a 2001 dream I was shown how to do the 21 days of mental exercise to create a new belief.  In the same year I became a licensed UCRS Practitioner.  Since 1999 I have read hundreds of metaphysical books, knowing who "God Is" and who "I Am", truly understanding these books.  I've also read most of the books Mr. Ernest Holmes wrote and most of the books about his life.  Knowing Mr. Holmes mind-set, I enjoyed these books greatly.

Sharon Mitchell, RScP

Being raised in a conservative Mennonite family, I left Iowa at an early age, landing in Northern California, where I choose to explore different spiritual paths. Spirit led me to my first Native American Church meeting - where my heart was truly awakened. Since that experience, I have been doing Spiritual ceremonies for over twenty years. Eight years ago, Spirit once again intervened and Science of Mind was introduced to me.  I saw the common thread of these two miraculous philosophies and wove them into what I refer to as New Thought/Ancient Wisdom.  My husband and I hold a spiritual support circle on Monday evenings, open to all, with the same name, New Though/Ancient Wisdom. I have been a Pastoral volunteer at Mountain Area Hospice as well as committee chairman of "Grieve and Grow" at the Center for Creative Living. I also facilitate Women’s Spiritual Healing circles, s sixteen week commitment of self-growth circles.  As a Science of Mind Licensed Practitioner,  I also offer private sessions for spiritual growth and Science of Mind Treatments. As I have recognized my desire to be in sacred space with others, I have recently formed CEREMONIES FROM THE HEART, a business partnership with another Science of Mind Minister. We offer weddings, blessing ways, memorials and other non-traditional ceremonies. I have a deep respect for the sacred and enjoy holding up the truth in All Life!  Life is good!  Blessings  Abound!

Anna Murri, RScP
My conscious spiritual journey began in l975 when I had an almost death experience. I was told there were no medical solutions for my dying physiology and if I wanted to live it was up to me. The stunning revelation for me was that I had a choice about living, to which I gave a resounding “Yes to Life, Yes to Living!” In an instant I was aware of myself as immersed in and surrounded by Light, knowing myself as a Being of Light. I knew that we are all magnificent Beings of Light and we are all One. I knew I could do anything.  Although I became aware of and explored many principles of Spiritual living nothing could compare to the Principles of Living and way of life of Religious Science in resonating with what I knew to be the Truth and what I had yet to discover about living it with integrity every day. I am  honored to be a Licensed Religious Science Practitioner and overjoyed to be a part of this unique spiritual family at the Center for Creative Living with the people here who dedicate their service and living in the ever-expanding and evolving Science of Mind.

Sylvia O'Neill, RScP

I grew up in upstate New York.  I graduated from Syracuse School of Cosmetology.  I enjoyed my professional as a hair stylist for 25 years.  Owning my own salon was an ideal opportunity for me to express creatively and productively.  My high school sweetheart and I married, had two children, then divorced nine years later.  My child and I moved to Huntsville, AL to experience southern hospitality.  I attended the Huntsville Church of Religious Science in 1985 and started classes that very same day.  After a year of Science of Mind classes I changed my profession to a home health care provider.  I owned and worked as a caregiver for nine years until I retired.  After my 2nd year of classes I attracted my right and perfect mate, Joe.  We met while I was a greeter at the Huntsville church.  We've been married 15 years.  I completed four years of course work and I then received Practitioner license from Religious Science International.  In 1995 Joe and I retired to New York state.  We built a log home on the shore of Lake Ontario and lived in it two years.  Now we summer there.  We moved to Asheville in September 2002.  We were attracted to the area by crafts, the beautiful mountains, and the Center for Creative Living.  The people at the Center are our spiritual family.  We have attracted two 12 year old granddaughters, Sylvia and Kelsey.  We are so blessed.  My other interests are hiking, gardening, nutrition, traveling and painting.  I am honored to be a Science of Mind Practitioner.  I hold the highest and best for you in my treatment work.

Art Ramsey, RScP

Born and raised in Maryland, I vowed to leave the cloudy, rainy, humid environment some day. I did that somewhat, along with my wife, Dee by living three years in England and four in Washington state, while working as an electronic engineer for the Federal Government. While in Washington, I opened to spirituality and became a Lay Minister at a Methodist church. My family (and Dee’s) still live in Maryland and we visit our two kids and four grandkids often. I love the outdoors, camping, hiking, kayaking and playing golf occasionally. I love hiking in the mountains and enjoyed the change of scenery (from MD) when we moved to Sedona, AZ after I retired in 1994. Always fascinated with Martial Arts, I learned Tai Chi and Chi Kung in the early 90’s and continue practicing them today. While in Arizona I started a spiritual novel that was finally published in May, 2007, as Seven Stones of Wisdom. It is available at CfCL’s bookstore, my website, www.sevenstonesofwisdom.com, or on Amazon.com. I have completed a non-fiction book, called Inner Peace Revealed. It will be released as an e-book the fall of 2007. It is also the text for a class I teach at CFCL, by the same name.  We moved to Asheville in 2002, after living in San Diego, CA for almost four years where I began my Science of Mind studies. Discovering CFCL, I attended classes immediately, after deciding to become a Licensed Practitioner. As I moved along my spiritual path, over the years, it seemed that I could help people the most by  experiencing different spiritual philosophies. And so my study and experiences of spirituality have produced many awakenings including A Course in Miracles, becoming a Reiki Master, earning a PhD in Spiritual Science, being certified as a Life Coach and Spiritual Counselor, ordained as a Minister of Peace upon graduating from the Seminary of Spiritual Peacemaking in 2006, involvement with Ascension and Native American spirituality, and becoming a Licensed Practitioner. I have also enhanced my spiritual coaching skills and now focus on inner peace. I am known as The Peace Coach.  It is my honor to continue to serve the CFCL Community in any way I can.

Errol Rose, RScP

I, Errol Rose am a diverse and eclectic individual.  I have been a student of spirituality and philosophy for many years.  I earned a BS degree in Physics before entering the Air Force in 1985.  I served in the Air Force for 8 years where I flew the F-4 fighter and participated in Desert Storm. After leaving the Air Force in 1993 I came to North Carolina.  I studied herbal healing and became an Herbalist in 1998.  I then worked for Gaia Herbs as the Production Manager for herbal products for over 2 years.  I have always studiously looked for the connections between Spirit and Science, which was one of the main reasons I studied Physics in the first place.  This brought me to the Science of Mind philosophy in 1995 with the Center for Creative Living in Asheville NC.  Having studied Science of Mind for the last several years I became a practitioner in May of 2000.  I served on the Board for the Center for Creative Living as vice president and during my tenure I helped build the current building for the Asheville church.  In early 2005 my wife and I moved to the Navajo reservation in Arizona, where I currently teach high school science. This year I have started a Master’s program in environmental studies where I will further explore the connection between science and Spirit. I am also the current Vice-Chair of the Practitioner Core for United Centers for Spiritual Living a national organization serving all UCRS practitioners.  I feel honored whenever I treat or pray with someone, for when I enter the state of grace the act of prayer brings me to, I realize that we are all truly one.  That state of grace solidifies the truth that there is nothing we are unable to accomplish for in truth we are all a magnificent part of the whole that we call God or Spirit.

Gwenivere Rose,  RScP

Adopted at birth, growing up in the south, attending the southern Baptist church, it was not a world that was familiar to me. It was a blessing though, as I learned to trust my intuition and listen and follow my own Divine Guidance. Later on in life I discovered that there were many on the planet who have the same beliefs that I have. I came to the Center for Creative Living in 2001 and that’s where I learned how to actually live the life I chose to create. Before that it was just an idea, led by the heart (often infused with drama) without discernment or an implementation plan. I have learned to embrace the path of transformation and emergence in my life. To walk the rainbow path of beauty. I know we can choose to create our lives in a beautiful magical way. It has often been the times of transformation and challenge in my life that have allowed for the most beautiful gifts to be revealed, when I stay present in the moment and honor my inner wisdom.  I am willing to follow my guidance, even when it is uncomfortable. Currently I am living on the Navajo Reservation in NE Arizona with my wonderful husband Errol.  We felt a calling to be here a couple of years ago and left the wonderful, supportive environment of Asheville. It was easy to integrate Science of Mind Principles into my work and life here, the basic principles are already a part of the traditional cultural beliefs. The Navajo Medicine Men and Women believe that we create through our thoughts, words and actions. Living and working here has been an amazing experience for us, yet it meant letting go of our comfortable life in Asheville. Serving on the board of a local community coalition, we have been able to create great prosperity in order to transform our community and manifest common dreams and visions. I am grateful to be able to serve in this way. We’re not sure where our guidance will lead us next, yet one day we plan to return to the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. This is my work as a practitioner, to see and know the beauty, power, peace, love and prosperity within each and every one of us, through all the transformations in our lives. To know that we can and do create our lives every moment of every day and that we have the courage and faith to experience and embrace our lives fully.

Tom Wright, RScP

Hi, my name is Tom and I love serving people. I have a background in service. As a volunteer I was in the Forum Leader's Program and served
as a Guest Seminar Leader for Landmark Educational Seminars for many years. I also am a licensed Avatar Master, and served as the Executive Director
of  The Mastery Project, leading transformational seminars in prisons for inmates in Ct., MA., and Texas. I also served as a communications aide
in the White House. I am a founder of the Katuah Sudbury School here in Asheville, and I have a real heart connection with kids. I'd better! I
have two of my own. I have published one self-help book, Acronyming POWER! and have two more self-help books completed and on the way. I take
Spiritual Mind Treatment very seriously, and feel it's a great honor to do this work with my clients. In all honesty, I get more joy back from serving than
all the energy I could ever expend, so thank you for that in advance!
